Koreans have tapped into the popularity of social media. In every tourist spot, there is always a photo opportunity, may it be for free or for a fee. With my previous posts, each tourist spot like Gangnam Tourist Centre, SMTOWN and even in Unhyeon Palace, visitors are having pictorials. In Go Guan Photo-Studio, costumers can have a photoshoot wearing traditional Korean clothing. I chose a package with four standard size and four small size picture plus a cd of all the pictures the photographer took (he took 60 pictures). It was my first time having a studio pictorial. It feels weird but the staff are very accommodating and professional.
Just look for the massive pictures of hanbok wearing ladies on top of the shop names for the tiny entrance can be easily missed. The reception area is a bit tiny but they do have a selection of scenes or backdrops for photoshoots. The whole third floor is a studio with different settings (self zone) where customers can take their own pictures with their own cameras while waiting for their pictures to be printed. There are many costumes to choose from as well. You can choose from different photo packages. They also have their own make-up studio for customers going for the complete look. Selfie sticks can also be borrowed, free of charge. packages range from ₩ 20,000 to ₩ 270,000.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience. It is in an easily accessible location, service was fast, friendly staff and reasonably priced services.
